Art Journaling Pt. 2

Baaaack for some more sharing!

These pieces took me longer than the first two. I think my creativitity is starting to run dry, and I still have two week's worth of projects to go. Oh dear. Anyways, here is assignment 3 & 4. First featured is "FAMILY." And boy, do I love them! Even when they are occasionally *ahem* challenging to love. ;)

And this terribly tricky one (which took me seven whole days to sort out) is titled "GOALS."

I could not figure out why creating an art journaling page with the theme of "goals" was so hard! I wracked my brain for a week until I came up with a decent theme. It is so much easier to bullet point goals than come up with a pretty, flourish-y way to share them.

Goals.

Intimidation and excitement all rolled into one little word.

Goals. The year of 2012 is still young, and I'm sure you've made some goals yourself! It is so easy to just forget about them though, right? If it is something small like "give up sugar for a year," than don't sweat it. Try your best (I'll be eating my share of cookies for you in the meantime), but remember the greatest goals we can make for ourselves are those that seek contribute to advancing God's kingdom.

The apostle Paul had the right idea when he said, "...I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." -Philippians 3:13-14

And what is this prize, dear sisters? Verse 20: "..citizenship in heaven.."

Amazing.
